Monarch Bible Camp has been in operation under this name since 2000 when the directorship and office moved from Minden to Fenelon Falls. The camp, formerly knows as CSSM Bible Camp - Minden, has been in operation since the mid-80s. The focus of the camp has always been to meet the needs of smaller communities and Day Camps and Resident Camps have been run at various locations and on rented properties.

Here we are preparing for another season of camp, the 14th for Barrie and me. Where has the time gone? When we started thinking about joining CSSM we put this question to our children: “Do you want to be a part of camp and help run it?” They sure did! What kid wouldn’t want to be able to go to camp, every week of the summer? All of our children have been invol-ved with camp in some capacity. Carly, Beth and Riley started out as campers and all of them have worked as staff. Ryan and Nicole were busy with Cadets back then, but both helped out at camp at different times.
The experiences and skills they learned while at camp helped form them into the incredible young adults they are. They all are concerned with the welfare of others and enjoy kids. My tag line is: “Camp, there’s no life like it!” And it’s so true. The skills, confidence, work ethic, hard work, and challenges of camp have impacted the lives of each staff and the campers too. Some of the gains are hard to measure, but almost everyone who goes to camp remembers it fondly and....
